Mondo hired Paradigm Environmental Services, Inc., of Rochester, N.Y., to perform laboratory screening analysis on clean, unused samples of the following resilient granules typically used as artificial turf infill:

  •  Ecofill® Star
  •  Generic recycled SBR rubber
  •  Truck tire recycled SBR rubber
  •  Car tire recycled SBR rubber
  •  Generic recycled EPDM rubber

    • The following tests were performed:

  •  For detection of heavy metals: Analytical Methods EPA 6010 and EPA 7471
  •  For detection of semi-volatile organics, including PAHs: Analytical Method EPA 8270C
