Once the compacting of decomposed granite is done, arrange the cups for the artificial grass over it, and mark the place where these cups will be permanently fixed. This can be done by giving slight pressure to each cup and rotating it which will cause a small indentation to the decomposed granite and this will be used a reference point or marker for the cups.
With a help of a small hand shovel dig a small hole which is at least 2 inches larger around than the cup itself. If your cups are 6 inches tall, then you will need to make holes of 6 inches above the top of the decomposed granite material. Add fast drying concrete mix powder around the entire outside perimeter. Use the handle of your hand shovel to pack down the mixture. Allow 1 inch of the cup to be exposed.
