Three Great Reasons to Install an Artificial Lawn

It’s a hot summer day. You just put in 8 long, hard hours at work. Your commute home was longer than usual thanks to the fender bender that made traffic grind to a halt on your route. When you get home, all you want to do is enjoy a good supper and relax, but one look out the window tells you day is far from over. Your lawn needs to be cut, watered and weeded, which means a second work shift is about to begin. Sound familiar? This sad scenario does not have to be your life. You can come home to an inviting lawn that is always trimmed, lush and green when you come home to an artificial lawn.

There are so many great reasons to install an artificial lawn. Here are three of them:

1. Low maintenance. These days we have to save time wherever we can. Our technological devices mean we can work from anywhere, not just the office and our downtime is filled to the brim with gym memberships, shuffling the kids to extracurricular activities and academic pursuits. Why add the burden of mowing, watering, weeding and nurturing a lawn to your existing workload? An artificial lawn means you always have the perfect space to relax or entertain without adding extra hours of strenuous lawn upkeep to your day. You can come home and get into your hammock or lawn chair with a good book or host a BBQ without worrying about the condition of your grass.

2. Safe and Non-Toxic. Green grass is the last thing you think of when you try to avoid environmental toxins, but your lawn could, in fact, be a source of high toxicity. Do you use weed killer on your lawn? What about fertilizers or growth formulas? What about pesticides to get rid of those pesky ants and spiders before they get into your house? All these substances can be harmful to your health, especially for children who are far more likely to crawl through or lay on the grass. When using certain growth formulas, weed killers or pesticides, you must stay off your lawn for a recommended number of hours – meaning you are maintaining a lawn that you do not even get to fully enjoy. An artificial lawn carries none of these risks. The lawn blades are non-toxic, lead free, and do not require the treatments needed by seeded or sodded lawns. Installing a synthetic lawn is also an excellent way for those with grass and pollen allergies to safely enjoy their backyards.

3. Save money. Approximately 80% of Americans have a private lawn. Collectively, Americans spend around $40 billion each year in yard and lawn maintenance. An artificial lawn costs significantly less to maintain. When you do not have to pay for lawn care, those savings can go towards that second vehicle or family vacation you have been wishing for.

Your busy day can have a great ending when you come home to your artificial lawn. After all the love, care and attention you have given you yard over the years, it is time to let your lawn do something for you. Install an artificial lawn so you can spend your hot, summer days relaxing in a beautiful, safe, cost effective, low maintenance piece of paradise.
